Feeling Energized!

A mother was talking to her 12-year-old son who came from school and didn’t seem well. When she asked him if he was okay, the boy responded, “I don’t know, Mom; I’m just feeling tired.” The mother told her son to get some rest and he would be okay. Five minutes later her son came into the kitchen and exclaimed, “Hey Mom, I’m okay now!” “What happened?” inquired the puzzled mother. This exchange followed:

Son: “I looked out the window and saw a little boy trying to catch a butterfly!”

Mother: “Did he catch the butterfly?”

Son: “No mom; but he wouldn’t stop trying!”

Mother: “And…?”

Son: “…I felt energized just watching the little boy and the butterfly!”

Feeling energized is a good thing, whether you are twelve or a hundred and twelve. Watching others strive for good and endeavor to accomplish can leave you energized. Listening to stories of success, thinking positive thoughts, or simply engaging in something that is relaxing and refreshing can get you energized. The human experience and divine wisdom are “wells” from which to draw energy for your life. Here is one “bucket” of truth from the “well” of wisdom.

1. God has enough strength to support any situation in your life.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.” (Isaiah 40:28)

2. If you are feeling weak and weary, God can give you energy and strength.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” (Isaiah 40:29)

3. Everybody can use an energy boost sometimes, regardless of your age.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;”

4. Waiting on God, working for God, and expecting from God, will help you feel energized.

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31).

May your week’s experiences include some exciting people or things, that will energize you to do your next best work.

Wisdom for Your Week

Positive energy builds up, but negative energy breaks down. Be a builder not a breaker.
